Who Are Maryland's Most Effective and Least Effective Legislators?

The Gazette of Politics and Business today published “The List,” its ranking of Maryland’s most effective lawmakers. This is vintage Gazette. Funny yet insightful.

They sent ballots to about 100 State House insiders — lobbyists representing a wide range of interests. There are some real gems in the judges comments.

Regarding Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller: ‘‘Has 30 votes to burn down the State House”

Regarding House Speaker Michael E. Busch: ‘‘Belichick-esque in his coaching skills”
