Three Maryland Congressmen were honored today by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The U.S. Chamber presented its 18th Annual “Spirit of Enterprise” awards. In all, the U.S. Chamber honored 311 lawmakers. The Maryland Congressmen honored were:

• Rep. Wayne Gilchrest (MD-1)
• Rep. Albert Wynn (MD-4)
• Rep. Roscoe Bartlett (MD-6)

Eligibility for the “Spirit of Enterprise” award is based on how members of Congress voted on key business issues. Among this year’s “key votes” were passage of class action reform, comprehensive energy legislation, bankruptcy reform, renewal of the federal terrorism insurance program, and a long-term highway bill.
