New Poll Shows Tighter Races

A new poll, conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research, Inc., for MSNBC and McClatchy shows Martin O’Malley ahead or Bob Ehrlich in the Governor’s race 47%-43% and Ben Cardin ahead of Michael Steele in the U.S. Senate race 47%-41%.

The poll was conducted September 22 through September 26, 2006. A total of 625 registered Maryland voters were interviewed statewide by telephone. All stated they were likely to vote in the November general election.
