The Garrett County Chamber has always done a great job working in partnership with the State Chamber. Like WISP Resort’s Jerry Geisler before him, Bill is an active business leader who brings a lot vision and leadership to the State Chamber’s board. He also brought some really good ice cream to the board’s recent retreat, but that’s another story.

All county chambers are encouraged to elect someone from their leadership to serve on the Maryland Chamber’s board. These local reps serve a really important role. They’re a critical link to local business communities throughout the state. They bring a local perspective to the Board’s deliberations, and they help spread the word about the State Chamber’s activities and advocacy efforts business people across the state.

We currently have an outstanding group of local chamber reps. Not only do they represent business communities from throughout the state, they represent varying types of businesses — small businesses, restaurants, law firms, banks, and more.
