NAM: The Energy Bill Turns Bad

The National Association of Manufacturers issued a “Key Vote” letter today opposing the energy bill being debated in the U.S. Senate. On its blog, www.shopfloor.org, NAM said, “H.R. 6, the energy bill now under debate in the U.S. Senate, has turned into a very bad piece of legislation, dirigisme at its worst.”

NAM points out that the bill does little to address our nation’s energy supplies, includes price controls that interfere with market forces, and includes Corporate Average Fuel Economy standards that are unworkable and technologically infeasible. To read the full letter, click here.
