Maryland Chamber member companies contribute millions of dollars and tens of thousands of man-hours to charitable organizations in Maryland each year. The Maryland Chamber and the Baltimore Business Journal annually recognize the philanthropic efforts of Maryland businesses by presenting the Maryland Business Philanthropy Awards as part of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) - Maryland Chapter’s Philanthropy Day Luncheon event in Baltimore.

We are currently seeking nominations of businesses that have provided outstanding support for local non-profits 501(c)(3)s and/or schools this past year. Nominate your own or another business for the 2007 Business Philanthropy Award. The nominations will be judged by a panel of business and community leaders. Nominations must be received by 4 p.m., Friday, September 14, 2007. Nomination forms are available online here.

At least one outstanding small, medium and large business will receive an award. All nominees will be recognized. This year’s luncheon will be held Monday, November 5, 2007, at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel.
