Reznick Group Celebrates 30th Anniversary with a Day of Volunteer Service
Reznick Group, certified public accounting firm based in Maryland, celebrated its 30th Anniversary with a day of volunteer service in the Baltimore community on Friday, June 29.
Approximately 200 employees from the Baltimore office of Reznick Group, organized into groups of 30 to 50, were deployed at six organizations to offer assistance.
The six organizations selected for Reznick Group’s Community Service Day were Banner Neighborhoods, Civic Works, Patterson Park Public Charter School, Southeast Community Development Corporation, the Loading Dock, and the Women’s Housing Coalition.
Reznick Group partnered with Business Volunteers Unlimited (BVU) Maryland to organize an office-wide Community Service Day and select appropriate organizations for such a large effort.
“The firm has been deeply involved with numerous charitable endeavors for many years,” said William T. Riley, Jr., co-managing principal of Reznick Group’s Baltimore office and Secretary-Treasurer of the Maryland Chamber. “But this is our first time setting up a day of community service that allowed every employee to participate.”
Recent surveys revealed a strong interest in charitable involvement amongst every level of employee at Reznick Group and community service day grew out of that interest. Future plans call for one community service day on an annual basis at each office across the firm.
