Hunt Valley-based business lender Butler Capital Corporation announced today that Michelle Williamson, CPA has joined the company as assistant controller, bringing with her 14 years’ experience in auditing and accounting. She is the first individual to hold that post at Butler.

Ms. Williamson previously was a senior associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers, working primarily in its health care/not-for-profit industry group. Earlier she worked at Deloitte & Touche in Kingston, Jamaica, as senior accountant.

Ms. Williamson earned a bachelor of science in management studies and accounting from the University of the West Indies in Kingston. She is currently pursing a master of business administration degree at Loyola College, Baltimore. The Owings Mills resident is a certified public accountant.

Butler Capital has been a direct business lender since its establishment 1978. Its loans and leases fund equipment purchases, business acquisitions and business expansions. Butler Capital earned national recognition for three consecutive years when it was included in the “Monitor 100,” a national ranking of the largest U.S. equipment finance/leasing firms.
