Report Makes the Case for Slots

Today’s Baltimore Sun features a story on an O’Malley Administration report that makes the case for slots.

“Tens of thousands of Marylanders are voting with their feet and traveling to West Virginia and Delaware to play slots,” Labor, Licensing and Regulation Secretary Thomas E. Perez wrote in his report to Gov. Martin O’Malley. “By not having slots, Maryland has already left hundreds of millions of dollars in potential general fund revenue on the table.”

Sounds an awful lot like what the Maryland Chamber Board of Directors said in 2002.
