A federal judge today upheld the Maryland State Highway Administration’s environmental study of the long-overdue intercounty connector (ICC), clearing the way for construction.

The Maryland Chamber strongly supports the construction of the ICC, and we believe the state should begin construction as quickly as possible. According to the Baltimore Sun, Maryland Secretary of Transportation John D. Porcari said, “We expect to begin full construction in the next few days.”

Great news for everyone who is tired of sitting in the nation’s third wost traffic.
