February 13: How to Succeed After SBA 8(a)

The Maryland Chamber’s Business Development Council will host its first small business event of the year on Wednesday, February 13 at 8 a.m., at the Greenbelt Marriott Hotel. Henry Gilford, CEO of Gilford Corporation, will share his experiences and outline the good, the bad, and the ugly of how to succeed after the SBA 8(a) program. Register today to take advantage of this opportunity to learn from the SBA’s 2003 Small Business Person of the Year for the Washington metropolitan area.

In 1994 Gilford Corporation received certification in SBA’s 8(a) Business Development Program. This certification enabled Gilford to grow, develop and establish an impressive track record as a general contracting firm.

Event partners include Prince George’s Chamber of Commerce, African American Chamber of Commerce of Montgomery County, Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Minority Building Industry Association.

Registration is $45 for Maryland Chamber and event partner members and $60 for nonmembers. To register, click here or contact Gail Lemke at (410) 269-0642, (301) 261-2858 or glemke@mdchamber.org.
