Reznick Group Wins 2008 Governor's Volunteer Service Award

Congratulations to Reznick Group, P.C. for winning the 2008 Governor’s Volunteer Service Award in the “Business Group” category.

Baltimore office Principal, and Maryland Chamber Board Member, Bill Riley was on hand to accept the award from Lt. Governor Anthony Brown, during an awards ceremony held last month.

“It is a great honor to be recognized by Governor Martin O’Malley and Lt. Governor Brown for our charitable efforts, which are such an integral part of who we are and what we do. This couldn’t have happened without the combined determination and efforts of everyone in Reznick Group’s Baltimore office, for which I am deeply appreciative,” Riley said.

The award comes just months after the Reznick Group won the 2007 Mayor’s Business Recognition Award for civic leadership and outstanding community service.

Reznick Group’s Baltimore office was recognized for its many volunteer projects, including

  • Community Service Day
  • American Red Cross Blood Drives
  • Pro bono tax services to the Children’s Cancer Foundation
  • Yearly service as the “Official Accounting Firm” for the Taste of Baltimore

Reznick Group held the all-staff Community Service Day to celebrate the firm’s 30th anniversary in June 2007. The Baltimore office closed for the day and approximately 200 employees set out into communities throughout Baltimore to assist with several projects. The Baltimore office will once again hold its Community Service Day (newly named “Community Outreach Day”) on June 20, 2008.
