Maryland Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse Small Business Survey
Lawsuit abuse hurts small businesses, our economy and Maryland as a whole. If you have ever been sued, you know the financial, physical and emotional losses associated with fighting for your business. If you have not yet been sued, you have certainly experienced the fear that you might fall victim to a frivolous lawsuit.
The 2009 legislative session in Maryland is expected to include many bills that would expand litigation and create more ways to sue. This is a particular threat to small businesses. In order to defend against such dangerous legislation, we are gathering information about the impact of lawsuits or the threat of lawsuits on businesses in our state.
The Maryland Chamber of Commerce and Maryland Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse (MDCALA) would appreciate you taking a few minutes to fill out this survey regarding the impact of litigation on your business and Maryland’s business climate. We strongly encourage you to fill this survey out immediately, as the time frame for getting this data analyzed is relatively short. Again, this should take no longer than 5- 7 minutes.
