The Maryland Chamber of Commerce will kickoff its 2009 Membership Drive with a kickoff reception on Wednesday, February 25 at Sports Legends Museum at Camden Yards, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Invite prospective Maryland Chamber members to join you for this opportunity to visit the museum and network with members of the Maryland Chamber’s board of directors and other active members seeking to grow the Chamber.

If you haven’t been to Sports Legends, this is a great chance to browse the museum’s 22,000 square feet of exhibits and galleries dedicated to the Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Colts, Baltimore Blast, the Negro League, regional college athletics and more. It’s also an outstanding opportunity to network with other Maryland Chamber members, including board members like John McCormick of McCormick & Co. and Bill Riley of Reznick Group. Best of all, it’s free!

During our annual membership drive, the Maryland Chamber urges current members to recruit at least one new member to help strengthen the organization and make our advocacy efforts in Annapolis even stronger. For each new member recruited by April 29, the recruiter will receive one entry to win prizes including two roundtrip airline tickets, courtesy of Southwest Airlines or a suite at the Verizon Center for an upcoming sporting event, courtesy of Washington Gas. We’ll recognize our campaign volunteers and award the prizes during the Chamber’s Annual Membership Meeting & Business Hall of Fame Awards Dinner on April 29 at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore, which is expected to attract more than 500 high level business executives.
