Business Policy Conference Agenda

The agenda for the Chamber’s Business Policy Conference is coming together nicely. The Conference will be held on November 5-6 at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Resort in Cambridge.
As we’ve mentioned here before, Governor Martin O’Malley will be our dinner speaker on November 5. The Maryland General Assembly’s presiding officers and minority leaders will speak Friday morning, November 6.
We’ll kickoff the Conference with an economic update from William Longbrake, Executive-in-Residence and Senior Policy Advisor for the Center for Financial Policy at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. Steve Monroe, Editor of the Business Gazette, will moderate a CEO panel at 4 p.m. on November 5. The panel will feature three CEOs, including Mary Ann Scully, Chairman, President, CEO of Howard Bank and Richard Alter, President & CEO of Manekin.
We are also planning a great lineup of panel discussions featuring expert speakers discussing important public policy topics including:
- Health care reform
- Clean energy
- Workplace regulation
- Civil liability reform
